MOUNT MICHAEL PINOT NOIR 2021 Magnum

From a single Bannockburn vineyard and a record breaking hot vintage with a hands-off approach to winemaking. Deep, rich, lush pinot noir with Black Doris plum, dark cherry, liquorice and a seasoning of spicy oak. A seductive mouthfilling wine in a very fruit forward and quite complex style.

Fragrant, floral, a core of red berry fruit aromas, a gentle savoury and dried herb complexity, new barrel toasty qualities and a lovely youthful energy. On the palate - texture and baking spices then fruit touch the palate first with flavours of dark black currant and raspberry, plum and vanilla. An abundance of tannins with a lovey chalky texture, a core of fruit and contrasting acid line. Delicious, fresh, youthful and varietal. Great drinking from mid to late 2022 and through 2029+
