The 2023 Mount Michael Pinot Gris is crafted with pristine fruit, hand-harvested from 17-year-old vines in the Queensbury sub-region of Central Otago.
It shows lush aromatics of stone fruits, pear and ginger, which flow through to the palate. Mouth filling weight and texture are perfectly balanced by the gentle acidity and long dry finish.

A very bright and fresh bouquet with fleshy ripe fruit scents of pears and quince, golden apples and a touch of white spice. There’s a touch of honeysuckle and fine lees spice qualities. On the palate, a dry wine with a core of fruit flavours reflective of the bouquet, there’s a spice note on the finish, medium+ acid line with a satin texture. Youthful, bright and expressive with best drinking from day of purchase through end of summer 2026.

Pure, pristine and attractively fruity pinot gris with juicy tree fruit/pear/apple flavours that linger long after the wine has been swallowed. Perfectly balanced wine with the merest hint of sweetness nicely restrained by gently tangy acidity.
