We have a beauty Vineyard site in Earnscleugh Road next to the mighty Clutha River & this is where our Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris for The Mountaineer Range of wines are grown.
This unique spot is certified sustainable by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand, it forms very much the backbone of our The Mountaineer wines production and is renowned for consistently providing excellent quality fruit for these wines.
The Vineyard itself spans across two riverbed terraces giving it an alluvial soil base that benefits our fruit during the extremely long, hot, dry summers and contrasting extremely cold winters.
