Deep ruby red with a black shade, lighter on the rim. The nose is full and gentle, with penetrating aromas of dark cherry, plum, herb, undergrowth, black pepper and herb. Medium bodied, densely full aromas of dark cherry and plum melded with savoury mushroom, undergrowth, black pepper and herb. The mouthfeel is smooth with supple tannin extraction, balanced, lively acidity provides strength and freshness to the dark and savoury toned aromatics. This dark fruited, savoury pinot noir possesses concentration and a supple tannin line. Match with smoked duck and lamb koftas over the next 5 years. Fruit was sourced from Alexandra, Bendigo and Pisa sub-regions, handpicked, fermented with a small portion of whole bunches to 13.5% alc, aged in French oak barriques, best barrels selection.
